Remembering Josh
Josh Nelson played two seasons for Sprague Racquetball and quickly became a leader on the team and part of its family.
- Rookie of the Year in his first season
- State champion in Boys-1 Doubles
- State and national champion in Boys-3 Singles
- National champion in Boys-2 Doubles
We lost Josh to suicide in 2017, when he was 16. He is remembered as a friend, son, brother and teammate, and every spring this tournament brings the racquetball community together in his name.
The Nelson family established the Josh Nelson Memorial Scholarship to help future Sprague players when the cost of playing is more than their family can manage, and to support players' education after high school.
